SEAG has now advised that it will be opening an Emergency Registration Window for any parents that have missed the previous registration deadline. This will open at 8.00 a.m. on Monday 19 October 2026 and close at 11.59 p.m. on Tuesday 20 October 2026.
In line with the Department’s existing policy, we wish to ensure that any families in such a position are aware of the further opportunity for registration and ensure that all families are informed. This is in line with the Department’s policy under Annex 1, Circular 2026/19 Procedure for Transfer from Primary to Post-Primary Education.
While SEAG will itself be publicising this, it may nonetheless be helpful for you to bring this Emergency Registration Window to the attention of relevant parents. Given the timing of the tests, it will be important for parents to know of this window and ensure they do not miss registration at this point.
